With over 15 years of practicing and studying architecture in New Zealand and the U.K, award-winning designer Melanie McDaid founded Sloane & Peach. A design practice that is quickly expanding into a collaborative, multimedia platform, Sloane & Peach celebrates intelligent and genuine ‘places, spaces and objects’, while investigating and conversing on the important issues relating to the creative industries. Melanie studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London and recently led a high profile NZD1Billion land mark, tower scheme which maximised and released a key site in central London. Back in Auckland and alongside managing Sloane & Peach, through her role as an advocate for design Melanie currently takes part in critiquing design at the architecture school, writes for leading industry publications and advocates on flexible working.
